  1. I find delight in every pairing, but I can't really comment "delightful!" every day, now can I? But I just wanted to go on record. Often, too, the pairings amuse me. Anyhow, at the risk of echoing my comment on 39, there is an element of self-display in each image: "look at me! be awestruck at my gorgeosity!" (Oh, and you know that every cat pic contains the same diva theme.) Only here, one impulse to show off came from the tsars, and one came from nature.

  2. I want to transport myself back in time to explore the top world and underwater to explore the bottom world.

I want to mention one more thing about the maps page. If you scroll to the bottom, you'll see a link to a file that will open in Google Earth. Google Earth is a free program you can download to your computer, and it is amazing. (It's like taking Google Maps to the next level.) The file is a map of all of our 14 lenses photos so far. It will open in Google Earth and you can see a globe with all our pictures. Check it out.
