  1. A student told us that the best crepes were served at the carousel across the street from the bottom of the Eiffel tower. The photos were pretty good too. This isn't actually the best shot I took that night, but I like the way the A-shape of the tower in the background of this one matches the A-shape of the swing-set in Annie's shot. These days, the Eiffel tower is illuminated in blue.

  2. my cousins and i used to play a game on this swingset when we were young-ish: basically, we had to get from the bottom of the slide to the trampoline (now a circular hole in the background) without ever touching the floor. It involved a lot of climbing and a death-leap at the end.

the set looks so frail now i can't imagine how we pulled it off back then...wonder how hard it is to climb the eiffel tower...

  3. The joys of childhood make me smile.

Annie, my cousins and I used to play a similar game all the time too!

  4. Hi All,

I updated the maps page through week 11. If you haven't checked out Google Earth yet, please do! Now that we have over 150 photos up, the globe is starting to get dotted all over with our pictures. It's fantastic. (It's an easy download and install. Then download our file and double click to open in Google Earth...then have fun traveling around! Go to the bottom of the maps page for links.)

I feel like I take a little vacation to somewhere new every day when I look at your photos. Thank you.

    Heather
