  1. CONTEXT: The construction barrier outside of the Uffizi in Florence is covered with enlarged reproductions of the work inside the gallery. It is interesting how art becomes another thing when placed in another context. I like this approach to construction barriers-why shouldn't they be beautiful? Coincidentally, we're in Florence again today, and this part of the barrier has been removed (or moved). The part from photo 27, too. Glad I took these photos when I did.
