  1. CONTEXT:Lobby of the Whitney Museum in New York City...this picture was a surprise, an accident, an adventure...a greatfull mistake as my camera propped open halfway through the film and many of my pics. got ruined. Luckily this one got exposed for the best and probably would not have turned out as great if the film hadn't been exposed. Either way the part that I was focusing on: the metallic light fixtures came out well :)

I really enjoyed this pairing of faded subects, thanks DP.

  2. Context: A wall in Cagliari. Some thing had been posted and only partly peeled away. I have no idea what it says - maybe I'll get around to translating what's left someday - but it appealed to me anyway.

Stacey, you've discovered one of my favourite things about film. I discovered it by working with motion picture film. As you film moves through the camera, wherever it stops between takes, there is always a frame of film in the gate, and if you change lenses or whatever, that frame (and half a frame on either side of it) gets over-exposed, often to rather startling and delightful effect. They're called flash-frames, and I dig 'em!
