  1. i'm sorry i can't comment on the sepia tones of the pictures or the geometric lines - i'm not a photography expert - or even close. but i can tell you guys that these pictures are incredible beautiful, and have brightened my day. it is so nice to see a new corner of the world each day... and connect with old/new friends at the same time.
what a wonderful idea! you've inspired me to pick up my own camera...

  2. Sarah,
Thanks so much for your comment. Sometimes when I look at a photo I see lines and light and texture and geometry and depth of field and other stuff described by photo-jargon. Sometimes I look at a photo of a mountain and see a cat. Sometimes I see a story. Sometimes I see a mountain, but usually it's not the way I would ever have seen it myself. It's one of the things I love about photography - that we all respond to it differently, describe the experience of it differently.
So happy we brightened your day. Keep telling us what you think - we love hearing from you.

  3. This is one of the things I like most about this project... that we have started this unique conversation about photography and relationships and geography and Mexico and, ultimately, about ourselves.

The way that we perceive the photos and pairings, and the manner in which we express our thoughts or feelings about them, tells a little story about each of us. I love that!
