  1. Like this pairing too. Analucia - it's great that you shot this on an overcast day (or at least it seems so) because it makes the water surface silvery, like a mirror, and everything else is sort of desaturated except the flower which stands in brilliant purple contrast. Really excellent.
And the doors of Sagrada Familia, well, what's not cool about them?

  2. These pictures blend so well together and yet the text and purple flower stand out clearly. Love it.

  3. These are the "Great Doors" that serve as the main entrance to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Construction on the church began in 1882 under the direction of architect Antoni Gaudi who worked on the church for 40 years. During the last 15 years of his life, the Sagrada Familia was his only project. When people asked him about the slow pace of work on the church, he replied, "my client is not in a hurry." In 1926, Gaudi was hit by a tram and died three days later in a hospital for the poor. The Sagrada Familia is scheduled to be completed in 2026, one century after the death of Gaudi. (Many people in Spain believe that this date is overly optimistic.) The Great Doors are printed with words from the Bible in various languages including Catalan. The word JESUS and a few others are painted to stand out.
