  1. Alright, I got a camel shot! CONTEXT: Behind me, the Great Pyramids of Giza (& the Sphinx). Before me, some of the many people at every tourist site in Egypt whose job it is to relieve you of your money. And so, “Camel ride? Camel ride?” Once you get up, they often charge a second fee for you to get down. Egyptians have been working tourists for a thousand year. Don’t even try to outsmart them.

  3. Joc, the camels are exquisite.
Camila: A clue about Lucy's shot... check out the little people on the escalators.

  4. I think there's a Sci-Fi story in this pairing. There's an alien space craft or a secret military base hidden under the desert with a secret entrance that appears, on the surface, to be a low mound of dirt and dust. Disguised as riders on camels, the guards circle this unassuming hump of desert a little too diligently, giving away the secret to our intrepid Indiana Jones-like hero who has taken off his hat and laid low so as not to be seen spying from the distance.

I think both of these shots are extraordinary. Joc, the depth of field in your shot is fantastic, the texture of that land and definition of shapes, even so far away. Lucy, you've given us a technological upgrade on the stairway to heaven. I love how the round shape is present at the center of both shots making Lucy's shot feel like it is leading into the center of Joc's. Great photos, both. Cheers!
